Computer Parts | What are the Parts of Computer

Computer Ke Parts friends Whenever we go to buy Mobile, Computer or Leptop in the market, firstly we see that how much memory is there in it and how much CPU is there and from that we understand that how good computer, leptop is. Or Mobile Phone. What is CPU

So here, it is very important for us to understand what is memory, how many types are there, what is CPU and what are the functions of CPU, so stay with us first we tell you about memory,

What is memory, type of memory

Computer has 3 types of memory

  • Primary Memory,
  • Secondary Memory
  • Cache Memory

Primary Memory

There are two types of primary memory

  • RAM
  • ROM

RAM (Random Access Memory) :

It provides virtual space to the computer system. It is a very important part for every mobile and computer system. It is a group of computer data storage. Computer Ke Parts

We also know RAM by the name of Primary Memory. Whenever we are doing any work in computer, RAM stores that data.

Example: Suppose you are working in Microsoft word or Excel and you have written some words in it and you have not saved that file, then it gets stored in our Primary Memory ie RAM.

And when you save that file, it gets saved in your Hard Drive, but this data remains in your RAM as long as the pawer remains in your mobile or computer or as long as you Let’s not close the file.

If the pawer has gone in the middle while working, then all your data which you have not saved gets deleted.

Random Access Memory means RAM 2 types

  • Static RAM (S RAM)
  • Dynamic RAM (D RAM)

Static RAM (S RAM) :-

Static RAM is one of the 2 basic memory used in S RAM computer, it requires constant electric pawer to work.

Static RAM does not need to be refreshed to remember the stored data, hence it is called Static RAM (S RAM).

Static memory is a volatile memory because whenever the pawer is cut, all the data stored in it is lost.

Dynamic RAM (D RAM):

Dynamic RAM means (D RAM). This is exactly the opposite of static memory, we know it as D RAM.

Dynamic Memory capacitors that store the data continue to slowly discharge the pawer. If the energy is exhausted then the data also ends.

Secondary Memory

Secondary memory is the type of memory of computer. Secondary memory is added separately to this memory, it is used in storage and it is also called Secondary storage device.

Its speed is less as compared to Primary Memory but its storage capacity is much higher than Primary Memory and it can also be upgraded if needed.

Secondary memory is of 4 types

  • Magnetic Tape
  • Magnetic disk (Flappy Disk, Hard Disk etc)
  • Optical Disk (CD, DVD etc)
  • USB Flash Drive (Pen Drive)

Cache Memory

Cache Memory is the third memory of the computer. It is very small in size. It is also called CPU Memory. Programs and instructions which are used frequently, save cache memory inside them. Computer Ke Parts

The processor checks Cache Memory before processing any data, if that file is not found there, then after that it checks RAM Memory and Primary Memory.

 What is CPU

The CPU is the primary unit of the computer that processes the instructions. It continuously runs the operating system and application, as well as receives the input made by the user. What is the CPU

And runs all other softwear on its base, it processes the input data and gives us the output. What is the CPU

Example: Like if we press a button in our keyboard, the CPU processes it and then outputs us on the moniter or on the screen.

The CPU is also known by other names such as processor, micro processor, central processor and it is also known as computer brain.

CPU has 3 components required

  • Storage Unit or Memory Unit
  • Control Unit
  • ALU (Arithmetic and Logic Unit)

Storage Unit or Memory Unit :

It stores the data instructions and results of the storage unit or memory unit system, it also supplies information to other Units of the computer if needed.

Example: RAM, ROM, Hard Disk etc

Control Unit :

As its name itself suggests, the work of this unit is to cantrol control unit controls the operation of all parts of the computer. This unit does the work of processing data in real. What is CPU

ALU (Arithmetic and Logic Unit):

ALU has 2 Parts

  • Arithmetic section
  • Logical section

Arithmetic section :

The work of arithmetic section is to solve maths or Calculesan such as addition, subtraction, fold, division. The problem of difficult problem is solved with the help of these operations.

Logical section :

The task of Logical section is to complete the logic operation like Comparing Comparison, Selection Selection, Matching Mixing and Merging. What is CPU

There are many types of CPU Parts of CPU

  • Single core CPU: a single core CPU has a single core.
  • Dual core CPU: Dual core CPU has 2 cores
  • Quad core CPU: Quad core CPU has 4 cores
  • Octa core CPU: Octa core CPU has 8 cores

The more cores in your CPU, the faster it will be and the more you can do more and more work simultaneously.

  • Single core CPU: Only one job can be done on a single core CPU.
  • Dual core CPU: Multiple tasks could be done simultaneously on dual core CPU but this reduced the speed.
  • Quad core CPU: Quad core CPU can do many tasks simultaneously but speed does not affect
  • Octa core CPU: More than one job can be done in octa core CPU and also there is no difference in speed.

So the more cores the CPU has, the better it can do multi-tasking and gives speed. What is CPU
